The Ukrainian Culture Center of Los Angeles (UCC) is dedicated to the promotion, preservation and development of Ukrainian culture, language and traditions. It serves as the center for the Ukrainian-American community in Southern California. By hosting art exhibits, concerts, film screenings, symposia and other cultural events showcasing the rich Ukrainian culture and history, it serves to foster, encourage and promote civic, social, cultural and educational interests of this vibrant community.
The Ukrainian Culture Center was incorporated in 1944 as a non-profit cultural organization, uniting persons of Ukrainian descent and their community organizations.
UCC supports institutions such as Ridna Shkola (Ukrainian Saturday School), Chervona Kalyna Dance Ensemble, the Ukrainian Art School, California Association to Aid Ukraine, Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and other community groups.
Through many memorable events, concerts of Ukrainian artists and colorful exhibitions, UCC showcases the rich Ukrainian culture, celebrates diversity, and strives to keep Ukrainian traditions alive.
